Cranston, Rhode Island - SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA, a subsidiary of the Austrian-based company, announces their partnership with Kessler Canyon to form the Kessler Canyon Shooting Academy. Starting on June 23rd, Kessler Canyon will begin running monthly shooting school classes with optics provided by SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA.
Located in DeBeque, CO, Kessler Canyon is a Premier Outdoor Resort and Hunting Lodge, popular for the many recreational options they offer, including big game hunting conducted on over 23,000acres of unfenced private land. This year, with the help and sponsorship from SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA, Kessler Canyon will be holding multiple shooting schools. The first class starting June 23, 2013, will be a long range shooting school focused on ethical and proficient shooting skills for the sportsman or woman who wants to improve their shooting abilities, thereby insuring more opportunities to fill their tags each season. Each student will be provided a custom designed school rifle consisting of a SWAROVSKI OPTIK riflescope mounted on a Weatherby .300 WinMag rifle. Additional optics for spotting and range finding will also be provided by SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA.
Shooting school classes will be held monthly and will consist of 5 nights and three days of instruction, time will be split between classroom instruction and actual field shooting. The goal of the school will be to help students learn the science behind long range shooting, and have the opportunity to apply it. When students complete the course, they will have an understanding of 1000 yard ballistics, ethical hunting combined with field experience along with the ability to shoot at extreme ranges.
"Our Shooting Academy offers what no other program does; the ability to bring the most experienced instructors in the world together with the finest brands of outdoor gear including Swarovski, Weatherby, CC Filson, Danner, and Kryptic. Students will learn how the proper combination of guns, ammo, and optics all lead to perfection in the field”, says Shooting Academy Director, Jim McKenzie.
Dean Capuano, Director of Communications for SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA says, “We are very excited to be working with Kessler Canyon, which is one of the top travel destination ranches in the US. The long distance shooting school should be a great asset to their program and will really showcase products that are the best available for long distance shooting.”
